In the Shallow Water edition, we dipped our feet into shallow waters and the activity around this area in Flevoland. The School asked six invited speakers to bring their everyday tools and a water sample from their workplace, which were further unpacked during live and online conversations. Our indoor gathering took place at De Meerpaal in Dronten on November 9, 2023. Originally, we planned an outdoor beach event in Almere for November 5, but the unexpected arrival of Storm Ciarán, accompanied by strong winds and a code orange weather alert, led us to adapt swiftly. This turn of events inspired online meetings, where the School interviewed guests virtually, watching the tempestuous winds from the safety of our homes. A presentation with a summary of our findings was shared on December 7, 2023, during an event hosted by StrandLAB in Almere Poort.

These are the water samples from the water workers we met in Almere. Each one of them opens the interview with the water worker.
